Brownsberg is a nature reserve located in Brokopondo District, about 130 km south of Paramaribo. The nature reserve covers more than 12,000 hectares and offers space for flora and fauna. The nature reserve is home to a variety of animal species and most of them occur at sunrise and sunset. During the walk the Howler Monkeys usually show up and you might see a wild deer or Pakira (forest pig). High in the treetops you will find several tropical birds and in the evening you will encounter many insect species that come off on light.
On this 2-day tour, you will visit the waterfalls and the flora and fauna of the Brownsberg Nature Park. On Stone Island you will have a boat trip on the lake and maybe spot some animals. After the boattrip you will have the opportunity to fish, swim, lie at the beach and enjoy nature and silence.
