What To Expect

A viewpoint situated on the eastern hills of Bogotá has become an essential part of any visit to our city. There are two forms of transport available for travelling up and down the hill, a cable car and a funicular. When you reach its summit, at 3,150 meters above sea level, it is possible to take in a stunning panoramic view of the entire cityscape. Furthermore, visitors can explore the Monserrate monastery as well as partake in some local craft and food markets that offer a unique insight into Colombia's culture. (It is advised to avoid visiting on Sundays or public holidays due to high volumes of people which may cause delays or discomfort from long queues.) Other attractions may also be available depending on when you go.).
