The Old Town is the heart of our city. It was the first ever street in Leeds and includes Europe's largest covered market. Plus ancient relics, old pubs and smart new bars. Your guide, Robert Kilner, is a native, from generations of Loiners (people from Leeds). The family's been in the area since the 1800's, eating local, and global produce. He's been showing visitors around the city for years and running food tours for groups and individuals since 2016.
He's led tasting tours in markets in Leeds, Huddersfield, Bury and Barcelona.
Rob runs the social enterprise, workerslunchtime, showcasing the city to visitors, employees, and residents, for tourism, and health and wellbeing. The project has been described by Rob Walker, author of The Art of Noticing, and former New York Times columnist as 'super inspirational.'
