The little island of Runde has got 150 regular inhabitants, but from February to August every year, more than 500.000 birds come to Runde for the nesting season. Around 80 species have been proved nesting here, and more than 230 species have been observed in total. The nature areas on Runde are vulnerable, important, and interesting for research. Runde has also been called "Treasure Island" because of the finds of gold coins from the wrecked Dutch ship "Akerendam" from 1725.
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel or from your cruise ship.
You will have the drive to take a ferry towards Runde.
You will enjoy bird watching on a mountain trip, after that, you will have lunch.
Before going back your guide will take you to the viewpoint to Ocean gate in coastline village.
