Overview

La Palmeraie de Tioute, bien connue dans la région, a été immortalisée lors du tournage en 1952 du film “Ali Baba et les 40 voleurs” à l'affiche duquel figurait le célèbre acteur français Fernandel.

Les guides locaux seraient ravis de vous proposer une visite de cette oasis; elle est toujours exploitée selon des méthodes agricoles traditionnelles et offre aux visiteurs la possibilité de traverser des oliveraies, une savane d'arganiers dont les fèves sont pressées pour obtenir l'huile, ainsi que diverses petites parcelles ombragées par quelques palmiers.

Stop At: Kasbah of Tiout, South of the village, Tiout 83224 Morocco

The remarkable Kasbah of Tiout overlooks the alluring Berber village of Tiout, which is renowned both as a great tourist destination and as an oasis. Located 30 km from Taroudant and 100 km from Agadir along the road to Tata, the village of Tiout has lush vegetation thanks to its flourishing palm grove. From its hilltop promontory, it offers stunning views of the verdant oasis while also boasting grandiose ruins that recall its importance in Saadiens times. Alongside these remnants stands a panoramic restaurant serving delicious cuisine. To truly experience this idyllic location visitors can take a stroll through the palm grove or ride on mules amidst picturesque scenes representative of rural life - fertile lands, vigorous date palms and irrigated gardens.
