Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product:
Stop At: Amalfi Coast, Amalfi Coast, Province of Salerno, Campania
Amalfi was once an influential and wealthy "seafaring republic" that competed with Genoa, Pisa and Venice to control the lucrative Mediterranean trade routes. This left a legacy that made it the most prominent town on the coast and gave it its name. Its white-washed buildings were built into the rocky slopes facing the sea, as if to challenge any incoming waves. The magnificent cathedral reflects its past wealth while the main square and high street have a cheerful Mediterranean atmosphere. The drive to Positano follows along the coast, taking in all of nature's stunning views around every bend before arriving at this picturesque jewel nestled in a lush valley between formidable mountains.
