    Overview

    Luxor is referred to as the City of the Hundred Days or the City of the Sun. Formerly known as Thebes, it was the capital of Egypt during the Pharaonic era and is situated on either side of the Nile River. It has been said that Luxor houses a third of all monuments in existence worldwide, with many noteworthy sites.

    The ancient Pharaonic complex is divided into two main parts: eastern and western banks. The east consists of Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple and Rams road connecting these two temples, plus Luxor Museum.

    Itinerary
    This is a typical itinerary for this product:

    Stop At: Luxor Market, El-Souk, Luxor Egypt

    Our delegate arrives early in the morning to take you to the renowned balloon ride in Luxor. The hot air balloon journey starts from the western shore and ascends to a height of 1500 feet allowing you to admire the beauty of the vast green fields and monuments below. After landing, your delegate will then drive you back to your hotel for some rest before our representative comes to pick you up again by car for an excursion around the western bank. First will be a visit to The Valley of Kings also known as “Valley of Kings” which is situated along the Nile facing Thebes (Luxor today). This valley was used as tombs during 8th dynasty until 20th dynasty in ancient Egypt divided into two valleys; eastern valley where most pharaohs' tombs are located and western valley. Next up is Hatshepsut Temple which was built by Queen Hatshepsut with ceremonies dedicated for her benefits in afterlife. It consists three terraces linked with ramped paths that allows ascending and descending. Then there's Ramsium Temple constructed by King Ramses II who had most temples built after him depicting his victory at Battle of Kadesh with reliefs decorated on temple's wall detailing it. Afterward head over to Colossi Of Memnon which are two colossus statues left from funerary temple built for Pharaoh Amenhotep III on west side of Nile near Thebes (Luxor). Then we move on towards Karnak Temple consisting group of temples, buildings and columns expanded during period between Middle Kingdom kings till Roman era located east side of Nile near Luxor dedicated divinity trio Amun (Amun Ra), Mut & Khonsu each having own temple within complex together with Luxor Temple devotedly constructed for Amon Ra, Mut & Khonsu who were referred as Tayyibi Trinity (The Triad Of Thebes) from 18th Dynasty followed by return back to your hotel.
