This tour around Cabo de Palos is ideal to get to know this special enclave on the coast of the Murcia Region.
Beaches, coves, lighthouse and dune system, the route is a perfect introduction to the history and life of the cape.
We left for the Levante Beach and the promenade to get to the Cabo de Palos lighthouse. The ascent to the lighthouse is the occasion to take height.
From the top of the cape, we can see several points of interest that we will explain: the calas of the cape, the marine reserve of the Hormigas Islands, the Manga del Mar Menor. We will not leave without first commenting on the history of the Sirius lighthouse and shipwreck.
We will return to the Port to enjoy the fishing and maritime environment. The small fleet of fishing vessels operate in the nearby waters and bring captures as impressive as swordfish or groupers.
From there we head towards the beach and the dunes of the Amoladeras, virgin corner of the Manga del Mar Menor.
Finally, before the return, we will pass through the Salinas de Marchamalo.
