    Overview

An exciting four-hour journey by bike through central Bogotá awaits us! We'll explore the historical center, La Candelaria, visit a fruit market and coffee factory, witness street art and (hopefully!) take part in Colombia's national sport, tejo. Along the way we'll also come across landmarks such as city parks, Plaza de Toros, Museo Nacional; all so we can appreciate the economic and arquitectural diversity of different neighborhoods. Halfway through our tour we will make a stop at Parque Nacional where you'll get to try out some traditional Colombian street foods like fruit salads, juices, barbacued meats, corn-on-the-cob and more. The route is about 12 kilometers long and mostly flat for easy cycling; with plenty of stops throughout for making sure you don't miss out on any adventure!

    What To Expect

Group bike tours begin at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. daily (private tours can begin anytime). This four-hour

journey through central Bogota begins with an exploration of the historical center, passing by colonial churches,

the Botero and Gold museums, as well as a visit to the national square, Plaza Bolivar.

From there, we'll ride north to a fruit market to sample Colombia's huge variety of exotic tropical fruits before playing

    tejo, the country's national sport.

Then it's onward to Carrera Septima where we'll pass Independence Park, the Bullfighting Stadium and National Museum

, plus La Merced neighborhood with its English architecture. After that it's into the National Park for some fruit salads,

    juices and grilled meats.

Next is a ride westward through Teusaquillo district for admiring Bogota`s largest street murals. After taking pictures

of another Fernando Botero sculpture we'll move on to Memorial Center which documents human rights violations before arriving at

a small coffee roaster where Colombia’s world-renowned arabica beans are selected and roasted for export – followed by enjoying

a freshly brewed cup of those delicious beans.

Eventually returning back to our starting point in La Candelaria after covering around 12kms along mostly flat roads - apart from one uphill!
