Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the past and learn about different indigenous cultures that inhabited Colombia and the stories behind their artifacts. Furthermore, they will be able to experience the largest pre-Hispanic gold collection in the world and understand how these cultures lived.
Stop At: Gold Museum (Museo del Oro), Carrera 6 No.15-88, Bogota 110321 Colombia
The Banco de la República created this museum in 1939 with the goal of preserving pieces of jewelry and pottery from pre-Columbian indigenous cultures. It now houses 55,000 pieces of gold items out of which 6,000 are on display in their adapted building. During this tour you will receive a private guided tour at 10:00 am followed by some time to visit the souvenir shop.
