Overview

Buddha Eden Garden is the largest oriental garden of Europe. It is situated at Loridos farm in Bombarral county.

The first stop is at the beautiful garden of Buddhas. It was born from a project aiming to remember the dismissal of Giant Buddhas of Bamyan in the Afghanistan in 2001. It is called the peace garden with its astonishing sculptures/statues, lakes, exotics plants, palm trees and an enormous open space carrying tranquillity. The site also provides a cellar with wine tasting.

The second stop is at the village of Óbidos where it is known for its fortified wall. Its interior features narrow alleys and streets from the 13th century as well as a range of colourful small shops and houses. Naturally you won’t miss the opportunity to taste the good typical liquor of the region, the famous Ginjinha.
