Overview

Eleven miles northeast of Boerne in the scenic Texas Hill Country is Cave Without a Name, a natural, living cavern, and some say the most beautiful in Texas. The cave is 39 miles from downtown San Antonio. It was opened for public tours in 1939, and is designated a National Natural Landmark. Experienced guides take you on a tour which is both entertaining and educational for visitors of all ages. It begins with a magical descent down 126 steps taking you back in time many thousands of years. Eighty feet below the surface, the cave maintains a constant temperature of 66 degrees. The complexity of the cave formations make the first visit and every subsequent visit an awakening experience of nature's underground masterpiece.
