This is the tour for you if you want to experience hiking in the Cinque Terre, but want to get off the most congested trails and head to higher ground.
We start in Corniglia and hike up to Volastra — not officially one of the five Cinque Terre villages, but thought of by locals as a close and beloved “cousin.” You'll be graced on the way up by some outstanding panoramic views, and you're sure to be charmed by Volastra itself. The vibe here feels like what the Cinque Terre used to be before they became popular — quiet, simple and utterly picturesque. You'll enjoy a bite to eat here before heading back down — those who want to hike can join the guide back on the trails to Manarola, and those who want to take it easy can hop on the local bus instead.
Fitness level: The level of difficulty on this hike is hard. This is a real hike and can be quite difficult, so you should be prepared for a workout. If you don't do heights, this tour is not for you. Not suitable for children under 12.
