Overview

    This city was founded in 1582 by the first advanced that came from the Alto

    Peru. The city conserves marked colonial traces, clearly visible in its architecture. Visiting Salta means taking a walk through the center of the city as well as around it. Circulating through the center itself, travelers will discover ancient buildings

    colonial as El Cabildo, which houses the Historical Museum of the North; The San Convent

    Bernardo, the majestic Cathedral and San Francisco church.

    From the top of San Bernardo hill, the panoramic view of the city is fascinating. In

    the outskirts of the micro center it is possible to know residential areas such as the monument to the

    General Martín Miguel de Güemes, Quebrada de Castellanos, Lesser, and San Lorenzo.

    In the outskirts of the center you will visit an interesting Artisan Market where crafts of

    all types converge in a sample of singular variety. This historic building was once

    Jesuit stay.
