Discover impressive cliffs of Zumaia and famous for its grilled fish and txakoli wine Getaria on this geological, cultural and gastronomic journey along the Basque Coast. Here we say: ‘un planazo’ - basically an ideal plan for a day! We visit.
Our first stop is village of Zumaia located just on the edge of UNESCO geopark. It’s a perfect place to admire incredible, vertical rock strata cutting into the ocean. We will discover the dark sand beach Hurdantza (one of the Game of Thrones location) and iconic San Telmo chapel overlooking the cliffs.
From Zumaia we will drive a breathtaking coastal road to Getaria. This village has it all! Medieval charm, fishing traditions, txakoli wine, the best fish seafood restaurants and on the top of that it was home to one of the most important explorers and one of the most talented designers of all times!
We visit a artesanal preserved fish producer and try their specialities, visit to a txakoli winery with tasting and traditional lunch in Getaria
