. A representative from Ancient Egypt Tours will collect you from your Luxor hotel to begin your private day trip to the temples of Dendara and Abydos. The Temple of King Seti, which was finished by Ramses II, is located at Abydos and also known as the Seti Temple. You then move on to Dendara (Hathor Temple), where Hathor - God of Love and Joy - is worshipped. At the conclusion of your time exploring Dendara and Abydos, you will be driven back to your accommodation in Luxor.

Visiting the Temple complex of Dendera which is found approximately 2.5 kilometres south-east of the town and is one of the best-conserved temple complexes in Egypt. This area was once known as the sixth Nome of Upper Egypt, south of Abydos.

Exploring Abydos which is amongst the oldest cities in ancient Egypt and also part of the eighth nome in Upper Egypt. It lies around 11 kilometres (6.8 miles) west from the Nile near present day el-'Araba el Madfuna and al-Balyana. In ancient Egyptian language it was called Abdju (bw or AbDw). The English name "Abydos" originates from Greek taken from an unrelated city with same name on Hellespont.
