Your experience starts with an early morning pickup from your central Marsa Alam hotel in time for a 4.30am departure. Traveling in the comfort of a private vehicle, set out on the approximately 3.5-hour journey to Luxor, accompanied by a private Egyptologist guide. When you arrive, begin your tour on the West Bank at the UNESCO-listed Valley of the Kings (Necropolis of Thebes), where mountains are home to over 63 royal tombs from the 2nd century BC. Go inside to see some of them and perhaps opt to visit Tutankhamen's tomb (extra cost). Keep exploring nearby archeological wonders including Queen Hatshepsut's Temple (Deir el Bahari), the Colossi of Memnon and Medinat Habu (Temple of Ramses III) before taking lunch break. After having a typical Egyptian-style meal (included) at an island restaurant located on the Nile River, travel across to modern East bank city. Start with touring Karnak Temples — vast complex built between 2055 BC and 100 BC boasting Avenue of Sphinxes, Great Hypostyle Hall and Sacred Lake among its highlights. Then embark on 30-minute felucca boat cruise along Nile River — perfect way to wrap up your day! On return to Marsa Alam, your tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.
