Plitvice Lakes is the largest and oldest national park in the Republic of Croatia covering the area of almost 300 square kilometers.
Forest vegetation mostly covers the park area. Wide variety of wildlife, as well as some of the rare species inhabit the Park area.
The lake system is made up of 16 named lakes, cascading one into the next, ending in impressive waterfalls.
All of that makes Plitvice Lakes National Park one of the main attractions in Croatia, bringing more and more visitors every year.
