This day trip is intended to complement your stay in Timi-oara / Timisoara. Our trip takes us to Transylvania. The region is known worldwide under its international name Transylvania. Sibiu (in German Hermannstadt) was founded by Transylvania in Saxony in the 13th century and was a purely German city until the end of the 18th century. Today Romanians live in the city, together with Hungarians and Germans. Hermannstadt's rank as a cultural city of European rank was recognized in 2007 when Hermannstadt was the European Capital of Culture.
