Day 1: Luxor tours

Stop At: Temple of Karnak, Karnak, Luxor Egypt
Explore the vast array of decayed temples, chapels, pylons and other buildings at the Karnak Temple Complex near Luxor in Egypt. Construction began during the reign of Senusret I in the Middle Kingdom and continued into the Ptolemaic period. Most extant buildings date from the New Kingdom. It is part of Thebes' monumental city and was anciently known as Ipet-isut ("The Most Selected of Places"). Worship Amun as its head here for two hours.

Stop At: Luxor Temple, Luxor 23512 Egypt
Behold the temple built by Amenhotep III (1390-52 BC) but completed by Tutankhamun (1336-27 BC) and Horemheb (1323-1295 BC). Ramses II later added to it. This mortuary temple is dedicated to Amun and considered one of ancient Egypt's incomparable monuments. Spend an hour here.
