Overview

At 8:00am, your hotel will be serviced by an air-conditioned transfer bus to take you to the Alabaster Mosque and Citadel of Saladin. Here, you will have approximately 2 hours to explore these historic sites. The journey then continues on to Old Cairo with its Coptic Church, Coptic Museum (an optional visit), St. Sergius Church and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. You'll also get to see the mosque of Al Azhar and Amr Ibn el-As Mosque - built in 642 and famed as the oldest mosque in Egypt, demonstrating a simple design which was later adopted for other buildings. Finally, you'll visit Khan el Khalili - Cairo's largest bazaar filled with winding streets and small cafes - before being taken back to your hotel by the transfer bus.
