Timeless Beauty
Located between Split and Dubrovnik, island Kor-ula is one of the 1200 islands on the Croatian coast. An island like any other, some might say. But, once you have visited it, you will definitely think of it as an island like no other. With just a short stroll along the boardwalk, or through the narrow streets of the Old Town, sightseeing the architecture, you will conceive its timeless beauty.
The heart of the island is Kor-ula Town, that is its Old Town, to be precise. This medieval walled city filled with towers, monuments, galleries, hotels, cafés, and restaurants is the island’s main attraction. Looking from above, you can clearly see that the streets are positioned to form the shape of a fish bone. The reason for that is not just aesthetic. Since the whole town is protruding towards the sea, this design was created to provide sheltered living by reducing the influence of wind and sun.
