Overview

We will leave our meeting point, from where we will continue to the place where the Astronomical Tour is held under one of the best skies in the world for the practice of astronomy. The journey will be divided into three parts. First, we will have a twenty minute class, in which we will learn basic concepts of astronomy in a room equipped for this. In the second part, we will observe the sky with the naked eye to learn how to identify the cardinal points and some zodiacal constellations. The third part includes observation through telescopes and binoculars in the open field, so that we can identify the objects that are visible at the time we perform the activity. Among them are: planets, binary stars, open and globular star clusters, among others. Then, we will return to San Pedro de Atacama.
