Duration

Overview

Explore Brighton from a different perspective and enjoy a day of hiking, yoga and nature, deep in the ancient woodlands of Stanmer Park. The term "shinrin-yoku", or forest bathing, emerged in Japan in the 80s. It means "taking in the forest atmosphere". But the concept is not new. Many cultures have long understood the importance of nature to human health.

Forest bathing is not just for the wilderness-lover or spiritual practitioners. It is a practice for everyone. It can be as simple as walking in any natural environment and consciously connecting with what's around you. We combine this with Qi-Gong inspired movements, a feel-good yoga flow and deep breathing. The practice is proven to reduce stress, improve memory and offer a calm and peaceful clarity. It is a unique antidote to the hustle and bustle of modern life and a way to get to know Brighton's beautiful woodlands with an expert leader.
