Overview
My passion is my profession! Delve into a vibrant and colourful history through ancient excavations! Join me on this journey of exploration!
Come with me and a small group of no more than 10 people to the ruins of Herculanium, one of the most well-preserved Roman cities that was buried by Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Explore the grand square overlooking the sea, admire the Augusteum's magnificence, relax in its still-intact baths, visit its bakery and gymnasium, take a look at the termopolium, explore Neptune and Amphitrite's house as well as Samnite House.
The volcanic mud which sealed this city like an airtight capsule has made it so unique with unmatched levels of conservation; you will be able to see both skeletons from beach victims as well as frescoes and mosaics still in place along with carbonized wood.
This is an experience you won't want to miss out on!

Herculaneum is just as interesting as Pompeii. It was a city of merchants and nobility that was more proximate to Vesuvius than Pompeii and is the best-preserved Roman city in existence. You will be guided by an authorized tour guide through the ancient square that faces towards the sea, view skeletons of former victims on the beach, observe carbonized wood and marvel at the well-maintained Augusteum, public baths, gymnasiums, shops and private homes such as Samnite house or House of Neptune and Amphitrite. You'll learn about the devastating eruption of Vesuvius but also gain insight into life during Ancient Roman times. Furthermore you'll be able to examine frescoes, mosaics and marble statues plus see first floor roofs in houses.
