According to old records there were a total of 37 rickshaws on the streets of Dhaka in 1941, oh how times have changed! Numbers have now reached over a million and are still climbing, giving Dhaka its nickname as the city of rickshaws. Therefore, no visit to the city would be complete without a rickshaw ride.
