Overview

On August 6, 1945, the city of Hiroshima was reduced to a charred wasteland by a single atomic bomb. The streetcars, the symbolic means of transportation for the people of Hiroshima, were also devastated and all lines were suspended. However, due to the indomitable efforts of those involved, only three days later, some sections were restored and operations resumed. The train that survived the atomic bombing was called the “Bombed Train” and became a symbol of reconstruction. Three A-bombed trains still exist today. Among these wonderful trains, we will specially charter the 653, which reproduces the color of the car at that time. This experience is led by Hiroshima?s local English-Speaking tour guides. VR renderings allow you to experience Hiroshima?s cityscape before the atomic bombing, the burnt plain of August 6th, and the city?s incredible recovery. It is based on the testimonies of atomic bomb survivors and photos from the time
