Snaefellsnes peninsula with it's highest and majestic volcano has been inspiring people for centuries. Home of legendary ghosts, waterfalls, beaches, historic villages and rich folklore. Place where ‘A journey to the centre of earth’ begins and where tragic events form “Bárðar saga” took place.
We will start our travel at place where you'll see what nature can create without a help of human. We will have a chance to see seals on the beach sipping carbonated water from a natural mineral spring. We'll visit picturesque church and a nearby tall waterfall which cuts through layers of hexagonal lava columns. Brave enough will have a chance to explore Rauðfeldsgjá ravine to the very end of it. After lunch break we'll pass next to glacier to reach small volcanic crater. Our last stop before return would be famous church mountain where game of thrones scene was recorded.
