Overview

On this tour you’ll get a rare look inside the original rooms of a 17th century mansion built by ship captain Stephen Daniels in 1667.
We’ll start in the old Parlor, richly decorated with antiques and historic details: low ceilings, an original fireplace and wide-pine floors. Then we’ll head to the original grand foyer with a period staircase before immersing ourselves in the old rustic kitchen for a glimpse of what daily life was like when Salem was on the frontier; complete with 9’ cooking fireplace and protection marks carved into the wood to ward off the evils of the world.

Throughout you’ll get an intimate look at original details from the Witch Trials, American Revolution and beyond. These walls have seen it all. The Daniels House is not a museum nor a reproduction; it's an original home representing over 350 years of daily life.

Ticket proceeds go toward preservation of the House.
