Duration

Overview

We set sail from Marina Isla Canela towards the open sea and after sailing along the coast of Isla Canela we take a paradisiacal bath in the fine sand islands of Isla Canela popularly known as “golas” and that only appear at low tide. Next we enter the Spanish-Portuguese fluvial border along the imposing Guadiana River. After passing under the impressive bridge that connects Spain with Portugal, we will feel transported to bygone times. After the towns of Guerreiros do Río and Foz de Odeleite, Alcoutim and Sanlúcar del Guadiana will appear as two guardians in the distance among a multitude of anchored sailboats. On the way back, we sail at maximum power through the calm waters of the Guadiana and we will enter the Caño de La Canela, contemplating its fishing village and the great variety of native flora and fauna. After an entertaining navigation through the marshes, Isla Cristina and our base port Marina Isla Canela will appear as if by magic.
