Mefite is the most direct connection to the Deep in Italy, the strongest gaseous emission of non-volcanic type in Europe. It emits more carbon dioxide than Stromboli and Vulcano combined.
Pecorino Carmasciano, Slow Food Presidium, with peculiar characteristics and unique flavor. The laticauda sheep, feeding on the herbs that grows near the Mefite, gives a particular milk, which allows to obtain an excellent and unique product in the world.
