Lisbon by night

Duration

clock2 to 3 hours

Overview

Lisbon, a city of an unmatched day-light, dimly illuminated and full of soul at night. We start our tour at Expo 98, with its cafes, restaurants and bars along the Tagus River. Then we leave for Alfama, the old heart of Lisbon, the Moorish neighborhood where Fado was born. We will walk through the alleys, looking at the facades of old buildings covered by ceramic tiles and hearing the sound of the Portuguese guitar and the voices that awaken the nostalgia.

We will visit Baixa Pombalina, Rua Augusta, Rua do Ouro and Rua da Prata and then we will reach the river and its estuary, that we will soon see again at the top of Eduardo Setimo park. Belem will be our next stop. The area where the Portuguese glorious maritime past is displayed in the splendor of the Monastery of Jerónimos and in the Monument to the Discoveries. We can’t leave Belem without tasting the famous pastries (Pasteis de Belem).

Finally, we will discover the vibrant bohemian Lisbon at night in Bairro Alto and Chiado.
