You have the amazing opportunity to visit the highlights that blended real history with the legend of Vlad the Impaler. We leave Bucharest in the morning from our starting point and drive to Poenari Fortress, close to Fagaras Mountains where we’ll find the famous and real Dracula Castle. Down there, we take our breath because we need to climb 1480 concrete stairs ro reach up. This fortress was built at the beginning of the 13th century by the Wallachians and in the 15th century Vlad The Impaler(Dracula) repaired and consolidated making his main fortress. We continue our journey through one of the most famous road calledTransfagarasan, a road that goes up to 2000 meters and crosses the Carpathian Mountains. Up there you can enjoy the view of the mountains, take a look at Balea Lake(a glacier lake situated at 2,034 m of altitude) and have a romanian tradional lunch in the nature.
