Now Machu Picchu is not harder to know or expensive, (now it is cheaper and easier) For that reason a new alternative route to the traditional train travel route was created. This trip is on a new paved road from Cusco to Santa María, and from Santa María to Hidroeléctrica it is an unpaved route, totally 6 hours by transport in a minivan with some stops along the way, such as taking photos and having lunch. For that reason, it is not safe to use the expensive train services, after the trip by car we will walk about 2 hours to Aguas Calientes (town of Machu Picchu), during the trip you will enjoy beautiful landscapes, valleys, snowy mountains, high forest full of flora and rivers that descend from the top of the mountains with very clear waters and some towns of the population are very friendly plowing pleasant trip to the Inca city of Machu Picchu.
