Overview

    Large pods of Dolphins are often seen in the waters surrounding Nelson Mandela Bay. The Southern Right Whales & Humpback Whales come into our waters from July to November for calving. Bird Island and St.Croix Island groups fall within a marine protected area for the benefit of protecting the endangered African Penguin and the fish stocks.
