Mt Fuji views and Aokigahara Forest nature conservation hike and trash pick up

(1 Reviews )

Duration

clock6 to 7 hours

Overview

Explore lush woodlands and discover magnificent views of Mt Fuji while helping restore the environment. Local guides experienced in nature conservation lead you in a half hour of litter pick up where the forest ecosystem is most severely marred. Then we'll hike on paths that wind through enchanting beech and evergreen groves and across emerald moss-covered lava beds in the Aokigahara "Sea of Trees" Forest.

Next, our support car brings us to a crystal-clear lake where Mt Fuji can often be seen towering above its reflection on the water, forming an exceptionally photogenic "double Fuji" image. We wrap up the day on an off-the-beaten-path trailhead where we hike uphill to a vista point with a breathtaking, yet little-known view of Mt Fuji, its forested foothills and the aquamarine waters of one of the Fuji Five Lakes.

This experience is ideal for visitors who want to contribute to the beauty and health of the environment, go where tourists seldom go and see what only the lucky few see.
