Your travel guide will greet you at the Placencia pier where your tour will commence. As you travel along the scenic Southern Highway, you will get a wealth of knowledge about the neighboring villages of Placencia, Medina Bank, Seine Bight and more. On this drive you will get a chance to see some of our mountainous terrain and enjoy the beauty of Southern Belize before arriving at Nim Li Punit which is located just off the ridge of the foothills of the Mayan mountains.
At the site, you will immediately step back in time as your guide reveals in detail exactly what had happened here. This small ceremonial site consists of 2 plazas and 25 stelaes out of which 8 of them are carved. In addition to seeing the site, you will also get an opportunity to have a light snack and purchase souvenirs from a few of the remaining traditional Mayas on site before heading back to the Placencia pier.
This tour allows visitors to immerse themselves in the history and culture of the Mayas.
