The High Line is a 1.45-mile-long elevated park, greenway built on a historic, elevated freight line. The High Line is a public park programmed, maintained, and operated by Friends of the High Line, in partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. The southern end of the park is shaded by gray birch and serviceberry trees. Washington Grasslands & Woodland Edge section is full of grasses, perennials, and woody species that tolerate the shade of the surrounding buildings.
The Vessel “New York’s Staircase,” 154 interconnecting flights of stairs, 2,500 individual steps and 80 landings. Built bronzed steel located in the center of Hudson Yards. This honey comb shaped 150' tall art piece can accommodate up to 1000 people at a time. The tour end near the Vessel.
