Ku-i is a name for the area and tribe, one of the mountain tribes that formed the state of Montenegro in the 19th century. In the past, the inhabitants of these areas were mainly devoted to cattle breeding and lived semi-nomads way of life, so it is very interesting to visit this region and hear about the customs and history of this mountain tribe.
The vineyards and wine cellar of the Rajkovi- family are only 4 km from the old fortress Medun in the village Ubli in Ku-i. This family for centuries has been devoted in the cultivation of grapes and the production of top quality brandy and wines. The ecological environment, the specificity of the microclimate at 400 m above sea level (on the line between the Mediterranean and the continental climate) and the multi-century tradition of growing grapes give their black wine a good position on the wine map of Montenegro.
