On this tour you will explore the ruins of Pompeii, remarkably preserved for centuries. Stop at a local factory to learn more about Cameos and Corals craft (time permitting). After lunch, visit Vesuvius' crater, an active volcano designated by UNESCO as a "Biosphere World Reserve".

Stop At: Pompeii Archaeological Park, Porta Marina (via Villa dei Misteri), 80045 Pompeii Italy

We will travel to the ancient city of Pompeii, destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius volcano in 79 AD. We will explore the site for around two hours. At the end, we may visit a cameos and coral factory (if time allows). Groups of up to six people can use audioguide; groups larger than that require a licensed guide. Entrance tickets are not included.

Following our visit to the excavations we shall have lunch in a traditional restaurant.

We will take the bus up 1000 mtrs , and then there is a 20 minute walk to reach the crater .
