Venture to the ruins of bygone Pompeii, buried in 79 A.D. by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius and remarkably unchanged for centuries. The tour will provide you with a unique insight into the life of its citizens and you'll be able to see various villas, shops, and public buildings that have been unearthed since then.

You may even make a stop at a local factory to learn more about how Cameos and Corals jewelry is crafted from corals and seashells (time permitting). Afterwards, drive up Vesuvius's slopes for an opportunity to sample Mediterranean cuisine paired with wines from Campania Ars Vinearia (the art of winemaking).

What To Expect

Visit the ruins of ancient Pompeii, buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. and preserved almost completely for centuries. The tour will afford you a glimpse into the lifestyle of its inhabitants, as well as an impressive array of villas, shops and other public buildings that have been exposed by archaeologists. Along the way to a local factory, learn about Cameos and Corals craftsmanship (if time allows), jewelry made from corals and seashells. Afterward, drive to the slopes of Mt. Vesuvius for a Mediterranean-style meal paired with indigenous wines, followed by a guided walking tour through nearby vineyards where you can discover more about Campania Ars Vinearia (the art of winemaking).
