    On this private day tour from Berlin, you’l l travel 45 minutes beyond the city to reach Potsdam.

    This area was where kings lived during the Prussian empire, and you’ll see historic sites such as Sanssouci Palace and the original summer palace of Frederick the Great, which is considered by some to be the German Versailles.

    Other stops include the New Palace, which is considered the last great Prussian Baroque palace, and Cecilienhof Country House, where the summit meeting of WWII’s victorious powers was held in 1945.

    You’ll also visit the Dutch Quarter, or “Little Amsterdam,” which was initially constructed to attract workers from the Netherlands, to expand Potsdam. Another stop is the Russian Colony Alexandrowka, which was home to Russian singers who stayed at the Prussian court.

    Lastly, enjoy the Old Market Square, which marks the historical heart of Potsdam and has gone through significant reconstruction after losing much of its architecture in World War II.
