Private Bavarian half day tour from Salzburg - the Eagle's Nest

Duration

clock4 hours

Overview

Take a private guided tour from Salzburg and after our drive through some spectacular countryside, we can go up to the famous Eagles nest a Third Reich-era building erected atop the summit of the Kehlstein, a rocky outcrop that rises above the Obersalzberg near the town of Berchtesgaden. It was used exclusively by members of the Nazi Party for government and social meetings. Depending on the season ( open only mid may to the end of september) or stroll through the traditional village of Berchtesgaden and have a break for lunch, followed by a lot of action and fun in the salt mines: you can dress up in miners cloth, ride a train into the heart of the mountain, slide down giant chutes from one gallery to the next, glide across a salt lake on a raft, and learn all about salt in the mines of Berchtesgaden.
