Dom Pérignon is always a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The first vintage of Dom Pérignon was produced in 1921 and was only released for sale in 1936.
Ruinart is the oldest existing Champagne house, founded in 1729 a year after Louis XV authorised the transport of wine in bottles. Ruinart is known as a Chardonnay dominant producer, mostly from the Montagne de Reims.
