(9 Reviews )

Duration

clock8 to 9 hours

Overview

Despite Granada’s proximity to Medellin —1.5 hours by car—, it was one of the towns most severely affected by the war with the FARC in Colombia, which lasted more than 60 years and ended only recently.

In this coffee tour we want to show you not only the beautiful process of coffee production but also the resilience of the people of this region and their process of reconciliation with FARC ex-combatants. In addition, you will learn about diverse agricultural initiatives undertaken by local farmers, many of which were direct victims of the internal conflict that raged through the country.

You will visit different places including a war museum, a coffee farm property of a war victim, a coffee shop, and the town itself.

A coffee tasting at the coffee shop using different methods is also part of the tour.

This tour is a combination of hope, history, nature, coffee, delicious traditional food and most importantly, the people that are the main protagonists of this spectacular tour.
