Shakyo, The Sutra Tracing, is performed as a means of mindfulness training. Whether one has faith in Buddhism or not, tracing sacred scripts gives us time to reflect on ourselves and practice mindfulness.
On this tour you will visit a quiet temple where you can have a go at tracing the sutras with a Japanese brush and ink. Shinshoji Temple, only ten minutes away from Narita Airport, holds a vast amount of land where great historic buildings stand, and in its surrounding area there is a beautiful garden and a literature museum.
The omotesando street that leads to the temple is also famous for its delicious cuisine. If you are flying into or out of Narita Airport, this tour is worth booking!
