Wandering Reindeer AS is Sami reindeer experience company ho is offering guests authentic Sami adventures in Tromsø area.
Wandering reindeer is offering guests a minibus trip around Kvaløya island (island nearby Tromsø town) with majestic mountains and arctic fjords. During the trip around the island, guests will join my Sami reindeer herder on the island. The guests will arrive a Sami camp with lavvo (Sami tradisjonel tent) bonfire, and they will be surrounded by hundreds of reindeers, with the opportunity to feed them.
Through the Sami reindeer experience, guests will also be gathering around the fire to enjoy joiking (traditional Sami songs) and hear about Sami culture and traditions.
During the roundtrip we will visit Sommarøy Arctic Hotel for lunch/meal made of local ingredients. Sommrøy is a fantastic place and a group of islands in the open sea 1 hours driving from Tromsø. Guests will have time to explore Sommrøy by walking around before we leave the fishing community.
