The city overlooks its namesake bay, stretching from the Sorrento peninsula to Campi Flegrei's volcanic area, offering a breathtaking view with Mount Vesuvius and three stunning islands - Capri, Ischia and Procida - that appear like jewels rising from the sea (2-hour panoramic tour including old town, Castel Sant'Elmo, Posillipo and Via Partenope) led by knowledgeable guides who will eloquently explain each monument. Pompeii is an expansive archaeological site; a professional guide is recommended for a detailed visit of its main structures. Stop At: Pompeii Archaeological Park, Porta Marina (via Villa dei Misteri), 80045 Pompeii Italy

We then proceed to the ruins of Pompeii which will take approximately 30 minutes. There you'll have 2 hours of free time to explore and appreciate this place full of history. It's an incredible experience that one must see in person! This ancient ruin was buried under meters of ash and pumice after the disastrous eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. An authorized guide can provide extensive historical information about the highlights of the site, and we highly recommend hiring one. (we strongly advise hiring a guide,)

Our next stop is Cantina del Vesuvio located on the lower slopes of the volcano offering stunning views over the Gulf of Naples. The tour includes a guided exploration through 4 hectares surrounding archaeological site near Pompeii, with its vineyards and elegant cellar structures. It concludes with a tasting menu featuring different wines as well as traditional Neapolitan food inspired by Ancient Rome (costs not included). Lunch and wine from € 40/45 per person with digestives and sweets.
