The drive to Whakatane is beautiful we'll drive past lovely unspoilt beaches and a beautiful coastline that stretches for miles. Whakatane is also the gateway to White Island our offshore active volcanoe, which you'll see puffing away in the distance. We'll visit a look out for stunning views of White Island and the whole of the Eastern Bay of Plenty where on a good day we can see right out to the East Cape in the distance.
