    Incorporated in 1900, Ketchikan attracted a wide variety of rugged pioneers from loggers, miners, fishermen, missionaries, bush pilots, bootleggers, and more. As the migration began in the early part of the 20th century, they all were seeking their fortunes and to begin new lives, to save the lost ones, live off the land or possibly to simply misbehave.
